Team Breakdown

How Power Rankings Are Graded

Each team's Power Score is the total Edge Score of their optimal starting lineup, built the exact same way the Start/Sit Assistant builds yours: best remaining player fills each strict slot first, then FLEX, then SUPERFLEX, from whoever's actually on their roster. It's a measure of roster talent, not who's won more games.

The Trend column compares each team's record rank to its Power Score rank:

  • Overperforming means a team's record is well ahead of what their roster talent alone would predict, so they've likely been winning close games or getting favorable matchups. Their star players may be a good sell-high target in a trade, since the record makes them feel more valuable than the underlying roster supports.
  • Underperforming means the opposite: a strong roster with a record that hasn't caught up yet. Those teams can be more willing to trade away talent while they're frustrated, making their players a good buy-low target.
  • Teams within a few spots of matching are just labeled On Pace.

This is a talent signal, not a prediction. Records even out over a long enough season, but a big gap between record rank and Power Score rank early on is exactly the kind of mismatch that makes for a good trade.
